Aidan Connell is an East London based singer songwriter who has been hailed as the saviour of British blues with performances praised by many music legends including Jeff Beck, Joe Bonamassa, Gary Clark Jr and Seasick Steve
Aidan Connell pushes blues, soul, rock, psychedelia and guitar mastery into a whole new dimension while the unpretentious striped back approach the influence of classic blues artists such as Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf are obvious as well as the 60’s super group schtick which reinterprets the well worn blues genre with a fresh approach and much needed urgency.

A well respected guitar player, songwriter and producer Aidan Connell also is a long term collaborator with US dream pop veterans Mazzy Star
touring Europe, Scandinavia and North America as a featured artist and sideman.

Having been raised by his Jewish Grandmother in London’s suburbs often termed Thames Delta ‘the birth place of British Blues’. Fueled by stories of the areas 60’s heyday spawning bands such as The Stones and The Yardbirds Aidan took up the guitar and formed various blues and rock bands. Upon moving to London’s East End Aidan modelled for extra cash whilst seeking out like minded individuals to create music with. Aidan was taken under the wing of Paisley Underground legend David Roback (Opal, Rain Parade, Mazzy Star) and Blues veteran Otis Grand helping to hone songwriting his skills and guitar chops.

His recordings stomp with the energy of contemporary garage-rock and blues leaders, recorded at his own well known Goldmine Studios , chock full of vintage equipment with many tracks laid down live to 2 ‘’ tape. Ultra tight performances and excellent musicianship accompany thoughtful lyrics and arrangements.

Aidan Connell's live set up has been 18 months in the making with opening slots for Otis grand, Gary Clark Jr and Seasick Steve with the solid rhythm section of Charlie Skeggs (Drums) who has played with numerous named artists and sat in on several Nashville sessions and Black country(Midlands) bass virtuoso Michael Hanley
a fluid Jack Bruce for the modern age making up 'The Noonday Parade'. With every show a euphoric be-in encompassing foot stomping blues freak outs through to thoughtful well crafted balladry which is enjoyed by both hipsters and high brow music connoisseurs alike.

With a full length album due in the fall produced by David Roback (Bert Jansch, Beth Orton, Mazzy Star) Aidan Connell has galvanised his rootsy sound with ample experimentation and widescreen atmospherics.
Having already been met with acclaim from musicians and critics alike and been hotly tipped by BBC Radio 2 and Classic Rock the future would seem very bright for Aidan Connell.
