Kalimera Greece, my loved Land !
will take you into the world of those women who contributed to the Blues and struggled for their lives, she will tell you their stories while performing their most interesting songs, from Ma Rainey, Victoria Spivey, Alberta Hunter to Mildred Bailey or Billie Holiday. Commited songs on segregation, racism, drugs and prohibition in a very modern revisited way
The show is never sad as Nina put those women to life again in a very comunicative and enthousiast way.
Outstanding musicians are playing with her :
- Mar Todani (Japan) on guitars (played with Big Joe Turner in the US)
- Marten Ingle (USA) on guitar and bass (played and produced Percy Sledge)
- Cedric Christophe (FR) on keyboards (plays with Martha High, among others)
- Antonio Martin (SP) on drums (played with with Martha High, and the famous Peter Alexander Band)
Nina Van Horn was nominated to represent France by France Blues at the Blues Foundation
