Relation to Blues music:: Just got The Blues, Other

About Me:: I have been a blues fan since High School. I am not a musician, I cannot carry at tune in a paper bag.But,I do sing in the car and shower on a daily basis. I have my Sirius satellite radios tuned in to BB Kings, Blues Ville channel 70 24/7. I would like to offer my assistance in any capacity for a blues event in New England.
I have been in Construction for 30 yrs. I have been teaching for the past 10 yrs. I am currently a Health&Safety/Glazing Coordinator for Finishing Trades Institute of Southern New England Inc.
I met Terry Abrahamson at a restaurant in Truro, Mass In August of 2011. He noticed my CT Blues Society shirt and struck up a conversation with me. He gave me his Business card. I looked him up on the Internet and found out what a huge talent he is in the industry. The Muddy waters story blew my mind.I am currently on a a waiting list for his new book "In the Belly of the Blues "maybe if I get lucky I will see him again next summer to get it autographed. That would be one of my most prized possession.along with my signed photo of BB king along with a few others I have collected over the years
He was also a very nice, down to earth person. I met him again this year at the same restaurant a couple of times. I vacation on the Cape on the same weeks every year and so does he apparently.
My Fire for the blues has been reignited by Terry. The lifestyle, the history, the iconic people in the industry that he knows personally,are the ones I love to listen too.
Anyway this is much longer than i expected to write.
I am willing to work for free if my schedule allows me to do so. I am skilled in many different areas. I was a General Foreman for the largest Glazing contractor in western MA for over 10 yrs, I currently oversee an apprenticeship program In CT,RI,and MA with over 200 students and 8 part-time instructors. Problem solving,logistics, communication and getting the job done on time are my strengths. Please let me know if an old time blues loverlike me could be of assistance in any way.
