 d human dignity, eradicating discrimination, promoting freedom of expr
 ession, fostering gender equality, and reinforcing the role of youth f
 or social. International Blues Music Day brings together communities, 
 schools, artists, and historians, academics, and blues enthusiasts all
  over the world to celebrate and learn about blues and its roots, futu
 re and impact; raise awareness of the need for intercultural dialogue 
 and mutual understanding; and reinforce international cooperation and
