- Leo was born in Iran to British parents and lived there until 1981 when his mother was asked to leave after 22 years. With his mum and sister he moved to London where he spent the next 7 years finishing up school. After a short stint as a sailor on the privately owned yacht, America, he went to boatbuilding school and traveled the globe building, repairing and sailing boats.
He grew up to the Beatles, but it wasn’t until he saw Albert King in London in 1990 that he knew where his path was to lead him. Landing in Houston in the early 90’s he discovered an authenticity to the Blues which was hard to garner from vinyl.
He worked as a carpenter for the next 15 years, a one year stint in New York City, and a three year stint as a Conservator’s assistant restoring sculptures by Miro, De Kooning, H. Moore, Giacometti, Calder among others.
