Duncan Moris became the band’s frontman in 2008; an amazing new talent, Duncan made his debut at London’s 100 Club, his smooth and powerful vocals combining with boundless energy and enthusiasm to fit the band’s style perfectly. This stylish young crooner has deservedly come to be regarded as one of the finest swing singers on the continent.
Key to the Slammers sound is its kicking horn section, comprised of renowned musicians Andy Burns (tenor sax), Mike “Boner” Doris (trombone) and Tim Murray (baritone sax).
This big-band sound jumps to the amazing beats of its rhythm section, featuring “Le Gaz” Gary Richardson and former Alabama Slammers Neale Hobday (double bass), Claire Hamlin (piano), who have been with the band since its creation in 2004.
