About Me:: My name is Yiorgos Diamesis. I was born in Maroussi, Athens Greece. I emigrated to Canada at the age of 6 and have lived there for most of my life. I did return to Greece from 1990 to 2000 and opened a stringed instrument workshop and school in Poros. I returned to Canada in 2000 and have relocated to Halifax/Dartmouth in Nova Scotia. I am still making and repairing guitars and on the weekends find time to get together with some of the best musicians in Halifax and Dartmouth and jam the blues.
I will be coming to Greece on the 5th of April of this year and hope to meet some of the blues musicians in the Athens area. I'm so glad to hear that there is such a good following of the blues in Greece. The blues is music of the soul, of pain and sorrow, but also of hope and understanding.
