Born & raised in NYC, Bleu has been a prof'l singer/musician since his junior high school days. Throughout his many years around the world on stage, he has backed-up, toured with or opened for such notaries as Aerosmith, Wilson Pickett, Slade, Betty Wright, J.Geils Band, Joe Tex, Foghat, New Birth, Al Green, Shirley Caesar, The Ohio Players, Graham Central Station, Brook Benton and Lonnie Youngblood to name a few.......
He was trained at the high school of the Performing Arts, Berklee College of Music, The New School, Greenwich House Music School & HB Drama School.
In the early '90s, Bleu was signed to indie label Select Records, then later was signed to Columbia/Def Jam Records under the management & direction of entertainment mogul Russell Simmons. As a multi-instrumentalist, he also worked as a Columbia studio musician, playing on tracks for such artists as Oran Juice Jones, Alyson Williams, Chuck Stanley, earning him favorable reviews for his musicianship by NYC publications the Village Voice and the Daily News.
Bleu has been performing the ONLY authentic Jimi Hendrix tribute show worldwide since 1968. This show, still going strong for over 50 years, was formed while Bleu was a member of Hendrix's official fan club at Warner/Reprise records. He has also periodically toured with Hendrix bassist Billy Cox & gives PowerPoint lecture-demonstrations on the musical, political & spiritual importance of Hendrix at prestigious colleges & seminars ( https://www.newdivinitysfc.com/lectures ).
As of 2016, Bleu has been touring worldwide with "Kiss The Sky" which is a Broadway-type theater show detailing Jimi Hendrix's iconic performances such as Monterey Pop, Band Of Gypsys, Woodstock & his final Cry Of Love tour.
