The 29th edition of Blues Alive, Central Europe’s largest blues festival, will take place November 14–16, 2025, in Šumperk, Czech Republic. 

This year’s lineup features Walter Trout, Joanna Connor, GA-20, Selwyn Birchwood, Mark Hummel Band feat. Anson Funderburgh, Jerron Paxton, Sean “Mack” McDonald, Cinelli Brothers and many more amazing musicians, alongside fresh international discoveries. The festival is also renowned for its late-night jam sessions, where local musicians join legends on stage.

Šumperk hosts the permanent Blues Alive Hall of Fame, archiving rare recordings, TV features, collection of instruments signed by international stars, and festival history - allowing visitors to explore the music outside showtimes. Blues Alive offers a cozy, all-indoor, intimate experience in a compact historic town - ideal for uninterrupted listening and easy artist access.

Getting there

Šumperk is easily accessible: nearest major airports are Prague and Vienna. From Prague, there are regular direct trains, with the train station just a five-minute walk from the main venue. The town is also conveniently reached by car, with smooth highway connections from Poland, Slovakia, Austria, and Germany.
