Respect your elders

I am saddened by the way that we who have been playing and keeping the blue flame burning are being treated in or own area. Kids that we've encouraged and brought up on stage with us are now grown and forgetting how they got to be where they are today. While I'm glad to see that the blues will live on in them it saddens me that they are ok with forgetting about us. Θέλω λίγο να μαζέψουμε τα CDs που κυκλοφορούν σε κάποια στιγμή και να τα οργανώσουμε κάπως ώστε να τα βρίσκει κανείς πιο εύκολα και να έχει μια εικόνα του τι δουλειές έχουν κάνει οι Ελληνικές μπάντες και που μπορεί να τις βρει.

Blues.Gr Logo

Blues.Gr needs a nice logo and I'm already investigating options for making one.

I'm not setting forward a call for a logo with this post. I just want to let you all know, so anyone that might have a suggestion or idea can come forward with it. Cadillac Records DVD Released Today!

Last night I went out to see the movie Cadillac Records. The opening credits claims it to be a true story. How accurate it is I can't say but I can say it was a great movie for a blues fan. Πρωτα ενα σχολιο για τον Peter Green τον οποιο αγαπω ιδιαιτερα, οπως επισης και τον Van the MAN για του οποιους παντα υπαρχει στην εκπομπη μου διαθεσιμος χρονος αφου τους φιλοξενω παντα με μεγαλη χαρα. Τον Van τον ειδα και τον ακουσα ζωντανα πρωτη φορα το 1983 στο The Noting Hillbillies club στο Λονδινο.

Love for the blues

Ειμαι νεο μελος του blues.gr.

Ακουω και αγαπω τα blues και την jazz εδω και 35 χρονια χωρις να παραβλεπω τα κλασικα rock. Στις αρχες το 90 ξεκινησα δειλα-δειλα (ερασιτεχνικες) μουσικες εκπομπες για blues, jazz και 60s στο πρωτο ραδιοφωνικο σταθμο της Χαλκιδικης.Ηταν το Δημοτικο Ραδιοφωνο Πολυγυρου.Μετα απο 3 χρονια λογω φορτου εργασιας εγκατελειψα αλλα συνεχισα να ακουω την αγαπημενη μου μουσικη. On February 3rd we (Terry, Scott Gifford, and Bob) mixed the final tracks for our new CD. Is the CD ready? Will it be out next week? Can I buy a copy at the next gig? What's the hold up? Από μια κασσέτα

Η πρώτη μου επαφή με τα blues ήταν μεσω αυτής της κασσέτας κάπου στα mid 80's.

Μου την έδωσε ένας πολύ καλός φίλος να την ακούσω. Ερασιτεχνική ηχογράφηση από ένα live που είχε δώσει τότε ένα group στην Κόρινθο.

Ηχητικό δείγμα είναι εδώ

Αυτή η κασσέτα είναι εν ολίγοις η αιτία και η αφορμή να ασχοληθώ με τα blues και να μάθω να παίζω κιθάρα.
